Stanhoe - Population 250

Stanhoe is a pretty village situated about five miles inland from the beautiful North Norfolk coast, between the village of Burnham Market and Docking. The market town of Fakenham is just eleven miles away and offers a cinema, large supermarket, a well-established weekly market and monthly farmers’ market.

Stanhoe has an attractive village pond at its centre, which is happily colonised by both ducks and geese. There is a large playing field with a newly constructed playground. There is also a pub, The Crown and a Village Hall which is well maintained and is home to many village activities.

There are doctors’ surgeries and schools in nearby Docking and Burnham Market. Stanhoe is served by occasional bus services to Fakenham, Burnham market and Hunstanton.

Village residents are made up of a diverse mixture of retired people, families and people who come to the village for weekends and holidays. We have families who have lived in Stanhoe for generations as well as a healthy number of newcomers.
